    Welcome to the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mookambigai College of Engineering, Pudukkottai. Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was established in the year 1997.The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) is dedicated to shaping future engineers. With a team of committed faculty, the department provides a strong foundation in electrical and electronic engineering principles.The heart of the EEE department lies in its dedicated faculty. Comprised of experienced and passionate educators, they are committed to instilling a deep understanding of electrical and electronic engineering principles in their students. Their expertise spans various areas, ensuring a well-rounded curriculum that prepares students for diverse career paths within the ever-expanding domain of electrical engineering.Students benefit from an exclusive departmental library stocked with relevant resources .     PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEOs)

    PEO 1  Pursue a successful career in the areas related to Electrical and Electronics Engineering, allied
    engineering domains, professional organization and government services.

    PEO 2 Work effectively as individuals and as team members in multidisciplinary projects.

    PEO 3 Apply the knowledge to solve the electrical engineering problems using simulation tools and to
    pursue higher education, lifelong self-learning and adapt to change in professional and societal
    needs.

    PSO 1 Integrate an intelligent foundation in mathematical, scientific and engineering fundamentals to
    solve electrical and electronics engineering problems.

    PSO 2 Specify, analyse and design the systems that efficiently generate, transmit, distribute, convert and
    utilize electric power.

    PSO 3 Analyse, design, and implement the analog and digital systems using the state of art components,
    software tools and ICT.

    The power electronics lab enhances the EEE students by providing them the better understanding of the concepts and working of advanced power semiconductor devices and power electronics circuits. It consists of different kinds of demo kits such as single phase and three phase converters, Step up and step down choppers. The lab is equipped with all the power electronic converters, triggering circuits, Power supplies ,CRTs.

    Electrical Machines Laboratory

    The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering has a well-established Electrical Machines laboratory comprising of more than fifty machines, at a cost of Rupees sixty three lakhs, spread over 3800 sqft. area. This laboratory, fed by Modern electronic regulated power supply, facilitates numerous value added experiments in addition to meeting the courseware objectives and curriculum requirements. The infrastructural facilities are utilized by the students for UG/PG projects apart from regular laboratory schedule.
